The Alaska Performance Scholarship (APS) is available to all Alaska high school graduates. To qualify, students must have a specific set of courses in their high school career, a qualifying GPA, and a qualifying test score (ACT or SAT for 2 or 4 year degree programs, WorkKeys for certification programs). To apply for the APS, qualifying students need to complete the FAFSA for each year they wish to use the scholarship. The new FAFSA application becomes available October 1 of each year for completion using the tax information from the previous year.
